AFRIASIA has broken the barriers of intercultural disharmony by bringing diverse cultures and challenging them to interact with a more truthful reporting of history, through media and the performing arts.
AFRIASIA is proud to have been the home of The Painted Gourd: Red & Black Voices, giving the history of First Nation people and Africans; WorldWrites, a student based writing program; Attitudes for America, a program introducing immigrant teens to the American civil rights history, All Nations Drum and The DC Ladies Contraband Relief Society, an historical reenactment company portraying intercultural stories of the Civil War among others. In 2011, the Global World History Pageant will debut.
